Emily A. Royse, Ph.D.

Emily (Emmy) Royse, Ph.D., joined the pre-award team at The Rucks Group in August 2024, bringing a rich blend of expertise from seven years of STEM, educational psychology, and learning science research. Before joining The Rucks Group, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in discipline-based education research and taught biology at the community college level. In her role as an Grant Research and Evaluation Associate at The Rucks Group, Dr. Royse leverages her interdisciplinary background to enhance grant proposals through the development of robust evaluation plans. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association and Ohio Program Evaluators’ Group. Dr. Royse holds a Ph.D. in Biological Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. in Biology from Abilene Christian University.

I am dedicated to helping teams pinpoint key variables of interest, capturing them in ways that resonate with grant funders and impacted communities. By doing so, I help design bridges between potential and realization, ensuring that the urgency and innovation of projects are communicated effectively to all involved.
